I was born in and grew up in China. After graduating with B.A of English literature, I took the path of becoming an ESL instructor in China. I found my passion for teaching Chinese increasing and came to the USA in 2006 while volunteering for a one-year project in one of the independent schools in Denver, Colorado. I enjoyed teaching American students so much and fall in love with Denver so I finally relocated to Denver in 2010 and have been teaching Mandarin Chinese to K-12 students since then. 

 

In 2015, I enrolled in the Information and Learning Technologies (ILT) Master’s program at the University of Colorado Denver with emphasis on K-12 Teaching. Through this program, I hope to strengthen my competence to educate and empower myself using digital tools in order thrive in an Always-On and constantly connected the world.
