Week 5 Mashup Assignment

This week we were given a mashup project to complete from the DS106 assignment bank. While I was scanning the bank, I found a task called "Consumer mashup". The requirement is to think of anyplace you spend money, and what you most often buy at that place. Then redesign their logo to incorporate your favorite product. I feel this is a task that I can associate with my focal theme easily. I can't remember how many times this summer I have been to Lowe's and how many flowers I have gotten from them. So it is clear that I will design a new logo for Lowe's to express my appreciation for Lowe's offering high-quality home plants.

First, I Google searched Lowe's logo and draw it on my sketch paper.

Then, I decided to bring flower shapes into the original logo by shaping the letters of L and S into plant-related patterns. I am not a art-savvy, so bear the poorly sketched flowers.

After several sketches, I am satisfied with the look. Final step is to add color.
